How can the major branch of the Y DNA be gathered from a female? Isn\\'t this what the SNP backbone test is? I\\'m looking for an answer to this question. Should have looked into it before ordering the test perhaps...

Took a look at the haplogroup data from my test results. Now I have completely different results from the original testing. I am so confused. Will look into it further.

the unlink on the family tree isn\\'t letting me remove nonfamily people gb added on. some people may notice (this family not related-gb screw up on their tree.) this is to let my family know these people are not related so write gb support to get them to restore the unlink to the family tree. i did 5 times and still can\\'t unlink.dolphinluver freinds are adding to my tree and i can\\'t unlink

It takes 8 weeks to get the results. Recently, I upgraded my testing. Hope it\\'s worth the wait and money! Stay tuned!

Ok I did the hvr1 and the snp hvr1 says im a medium match for 13 haplogroups the snp confirms me with haplogroup h but h has a mutation @ snp 7028 from c to t and mine says c with no mutations anywhere ?? am i alien or is genebase wrong??

anyone listed has dolphinluver friend check your family tree to see if you listed as skypilottls family. gb has added cheyenne to my family and her friends came along with her. It\\'s a gb mistake. if you are connected to my family please try to unlink if you can. heres just a few who are in my family that are not related-dolphinluver, ck1945-trishboykin -lien-p1568962 plus a lot more. the names added shows up has family but can\\'t connect to any of my family names which is good. but my family tree appears under their pic on their site when i check they sites. if you can\\'t unlink i try something else. gb was suppose to fix this! also asked them to remove the stupid dna from my tree

FYI, ancestry.com has now where you can enter your dna into their site. but beware you\\'ll be getting alot of email from people wanting to exchange family names.

Hi Terry, I have been reading all the posts on the different groups. No problem you not joining my friend group. No one seems to know what will happen next on Genebase. The only thing keeping me going on here is my Geographical Map where my markers are. We can hope things get better.

Sandy, genebase is great for friends,pics,and family tree file, but for the dna part it was alot of money for nothing, they were misleading, now ther saying get more test if you want more info (more money)

Lisa, I\\'ve never used that feature you\\'re talking about, but I\\'m going to try it. I\\'ll see if it works for me. But some things just never seem to work on here. I\\'m happy I have my genebase friends, though!

hi helen- i no longer use gb. i got your friend invite but i have limited my friend list to only 5 people. gb is going to be my family only meeting place. gb is too messed up right now so soon as i can restore my tree and find a way to move it to a new site. glad i have 5 other tree\\'s- not as updated as gb tree but working on it. i am related to the myrick through my dad side of the family also related to turner, moore (my mom side) , bullock-stafford / allen but didn\\'t see any family connects. if you have a stafford that tie\\'s into the stafford-moore line i can add you but for now gb is a family only site. i have katko, dawnie, artlove, the mav and sever Surfer right now. also sandydog who may be related. the rest are family members

the dna they ran on my tree is wrong. If I was you i wouldn\\'t believe what they researched. I just checked mine they did and they missed the line 100%. according to gb dna my brother\\'s and sister has different lines and don\\'t know about you but i lived with them since my birth and meet my grandparents. also know the stafford line which was also researched by my cousin sharlerne miller. the people doing gb y-dna either don\\'t know what they doing or making stuff up as they go. word of advice- don\\'t believe gb y-dna- cause i have 4 brother\\'s and 1 sister who had different gggreat grand parents according to gb. the reason you have no results are they don\\'t know what they doing. that\\'s the case with my tree. I believe my on research- sharlene and three other researcher match my finding perfect-(a few names are different)--I\\'m trying to get gb to remove y-dna from my site. I can\\'t view my tree cause og theit mistake but i can going throught the family profile which my tree is still in one piece. y-dna is b.s.

has anybody used the feature on the dna ancestry project, when you put a genetic match in the worksheet to calculate your genetic distances and estimate how long you shared the same ancestor, when i do a compare results in the worksheet i get a warning notice message and no results, i have been trying to do this for over a week?

On the new "Home" page, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on "support" which is high lighted in blue. Ask the GB team if they can help you with this. I am not sure how to delete a web page, but I am sure the GB team will know and can tell you. Good Luck. :)
