As it happens, I am also J1e "J1e (P58+)." I am not sure what the increased resolution means but for what its worth, I think our ancestors may have been in the same boat hehe

hi J1s! Anyone know a way of identifying all the other J1 males at Genebase, so we can invite them, rather than us just sitting here waiting to be found? regards, RouX

Sorry, Noah. I just realized your question was possibly not rhetorical. Your paternal line may be Ashkenazim, or maybe your ancestors came as early as Neolithic times. I am J1e, which is really small fraction of 1% of the UK male population, so I know how you feel. I\\'ve actually never felt like I fit in here and have always felt more at home around the Mediterranean. So my discovery of my paternal lineage was a revelation. However I suspect the majority of my DNA (autosomnal) is pretty well 100% British. regards, RouX

Hey... ten of J1 guys here now. Welcome! :-) Anyone know if Genebase enables us automatically compare our group member\\'s yDNA, like you can at the Ancestry J1 group? Otherwise I guess I could upload a spreadsheet that we could occasionally update and re-upload, Anyone got any ideas?
