The State of the World We Live In From: tvt820 | Created: Mar 19, 2007 I just cannot believe the state of the that world we live in. The world is ravaged in war, our kids are in danger from abductors and pedophiles, thieves roam the streets looking for people to steal from or houses to break into. The criminals are not limited to any stereotype as many may think. Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, anyone; it truly saddens me to see what is going on and who are committing these atrocities. It is truly pitiful. We as Christians are quickly becoming the minority. We have to work together, now more than ever. We need to be vigilant in our watch. We have a duty to all of mankind. We all have a responsibility to try to lead people to God through Jesus. We must cast off fear and do all we can for the Lord. I challenge you all to witness to someone this week. Please invite your friends to this community. Please post all you can to this site. You may be the one that turns the tide for someone and makes them decide to live for the Lord. Look at the world. We are not guaranteed to see the next minute, let alone tomorrow. Please do not let anyone slip by without showing them God’s love. We must work together, be kind to and help one another. I have not been here in a while and I do apologize. I have been going through a very trying time and do need your prayer. This "tribulation" that I am going through makes me feel like my Faith is being tested, just as Job's was. Please do not think I am comparing myself to Job. I just feel as though I am being tested. Please pray for me. I will be praying for all of you. I see we have some new members. I thank you for joining. Please invite others. We must remember that we are family and that we must love and help each other, as well as those who are not yet saved. The Rapture From: tvt820 | Created: Mar 2, 2006 When I speak of the Rapture, I speak of a certain event in the Bible that I, among many others, believe will occur after the attack on Israel (foretold in Ezekiel chapter 38), but before the signing of the peace covenant between the Antichrist and Israel. The Rapture is when Jesus returns in the eastern sky and the pre-tribulation Christians, both who are alive and dead (asleep in Christ), are "caught up" and meet the Lord in the sky and ascend into Heaven with Him. As far as I know, the term Rapture does not appear in the Bible. Some use this as an arguement to try to disprove the Bible or the Churches that teach of the Rapture. It is the term I have always heard used when referring to this event , and it is the one I use. It is a name for the event. Even if the term does not appear in the Bible, that does not change the fact that the event does. These are just a few verses that tell about the Rapture. [u]I Thessalonians 4: 13-18[/u] [b]But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. (4:13) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. Greater is He who is in you From: tvt820 | Created: Feb 20, 2006 My wife's grandmother was put in the hospital for congestive heart failure. She may possibly remain there for what is left of her life. She is a Christian and has been an example of Christianity to me for the past nine years that I have known her. The morning after she was put into the hospital we received a call from my wife's mother saying that they could not get her grandmother to wake up. While we were on our way to the hospital I prayed that God would heal her and that if it was her time, that we would at least get to see her grandmother alive and awake one more time. When we arrived we found that her grandmother was awake. That whole day she prayed and praised God. She kept telling us how good God was and that she loved the Lord. This was the most immediate answer to prayer I have ever seen. It was also the biggest blessing to see this display of God given courage by my wife's grandmother. Even in the face of death she was praying and praising God. I hope I am that courageous when my time comes. That type of courage can only come from God, and it is found in the knowledge that you are going to go to heaven and be with God and Jesus. To be saved and to know where you will be going when you die is such a great relief. Only God knows when your time is and it is assigned to everyone a time to die. If you are reading this and are not saved I beg you, please pray. Pray now, not later. You may not have time later. Later may never come for you. Please, if you are not saved, pray to God. Admit that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness in Jesus name. This may be the last chance you get to make the biggest decision of your life (humanly and eternal). Please remember that God is willing that none should perish. This is why He sent His only begotten son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins, so that you could go to Heaven. Please don't wait. Invitation/Revival From: tvt820 | Created: Feb 15, 2006 I want to thank all who have joined this community. You have been a blessing to me. I found Genebase.com while trying to trace my roots at the public library. Something had been working on me that week and I ended up spending around twelve hours there working on it. Then I saw that you could join and start communities. I joined a few and then felt an urge to start The Word. I can only call it what I feel it was, God tugging on my heart. I started it with my own intentions; to meet new friends, and to talk about the things that have been burdening my soul for a while now, but I feel that it is blossoming into so much more. Right now we are a community of eleven members now. I feel compelled to put a call out to all members to invite friends, family, and even people we don't know to join. I don't really know how to describe what I'm feeling right now. I am so happy that you all have joined and that hopefully you will all allow me to call you friends. But there is another feeling. It is a sense that we have been brought together here for a greater purpose. I feel, especially with the way things are in the times we live in, that we as Christians must stand up. We must declare to the world that we follow the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I challenge all to tell someone about Jesus. I feel like God is putting this message on me to tell you, that the time is right for a soul harvest. It's time for revival. Please don't think I am too crazy. I can only think that all of this is of God. By nature I am a shy person. Pathologically shy. I never would have had the courage to talk to people like this before now. I believe that when it is time to answer your calling that God will give you the boldness to do His will. I pray that is what I am doing. Please be bold. Tell people about God's love for them. I feel like the time of Jesus' second coming is drawing closer. I, like everyone else, do not know the date or time. None of us will until it happens. I just can't help but feel, with the state of the world and all of the signs that have and are happening, that the time is close at hand. I believe it will happen in our generation and that we must act now to bring as many as we can to God. I ask that you pray for me and I will continually pray for all of you. Thank you everyone. Be Ready! From: tvt820 | Created: Feb 13, 2006 Hello again my friends! Thank you to all members who have joined since my last post and to those who have been a member. I was checking my email today and saw an alarming news story. The Hamas faction is going to be having talks with Russia. I feel more strongly now than ever that if you are not ready to meet God when you die that now is the time to get ready. As I have said before, in the Bible in the book of Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39, It makes a prophesy about the great Army of the north attacking Israel together with its many allies. Most scholars believe that the army of the north is Russia and its allies are a coalition of the Arab Countries. God says that He will put a hook in their mouth and drag them to where He wants them. I believe that this is unfolding before our very eyes. You see, God will put the attack plan in their heads. He will do this so that when the attack happens, and God protects Israel as prophesied, the world wil know that God is real. Make no mistake, this event will happen. Most scholars believe that the rapture of the church will come after this, and after that, the signing of the treaty between Israel and the Antichrist, which ushers in the Tribulation. From what the Bible prophesies about this time period, it will be the bloodiest span of time this earth has ever seen. I have good news. You do not have to be here for this era. God loves you and always will. It doesn't matter if right now you don't believe in Him, love Him, or know of Him, He loves you anyway. God does not want to see anyone go to hell when they die. God is jealous for your soul. If He was not and He did not love you, He would not have sent His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, to earth to die for the sins of mankind. Jesus died on the Cross so that you could go to Heaven. God is willing that NONE SHOULD PERISH! None! This is why Jesus had to make the ultimate sacrifice, because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We have all been blotted out of God's Book of Life, but when Jesus died, He paved the way for us to make the right decision and be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Make no mistake about it, it is only through Jesus that we can be saved from an eternity in hell. Please, if you are not saved, pray to God. Admit that you are a sinner. Ask God for Forgiveness in Jesus' name. If you are saved, I have a message for you as well. This came to me one day as I was on patrol for the Sheriff's office I work for. "Be bold in your ministry and witnessing, and gather in the lost, for the day of the second coming of the Lord your God is close at hand!" If anyone has a forum topic, I promise to get back to you as soon as I can, as I am between computers at this time. The topic of my last post, "The army of the North and its allies attacking Israel", I believe is now closer than ever. The election of the Hamas Party to the Palestinian government is another blow to Israel. Israel is being surrounded by her enemies as we speak. This "roadmap to peace" agreement will not bring peace to the middle east. This agreement divides up Israel's land in three stages. The last of which will be Jerusalem. This, I BELIEVE, will not happen and will spur the attack. God makes reference to His land being divided in the Bible. I believe that we are staring the end times in the face and that we all need to be ready. There are few Prophesied events left to take place before the Tribulation. One of which, I believe, is this attack in which God will protect Israel and show to the world that He does exist, and that He is true to His word. The other is the rapture of the church, in which Jesus returns and all who were in life, and who are in life, believers in Jesus Christ for their salvation will be caught up and taken to Heaven. Then a peace treaty will be signed with Israel for seven years. This will begin the Tribulation. The other party in this peace treaty will be the anti-christ, who I believe is here on earth now, preparing for his role in the bloodiest time in earth's history. I truly believe that our generation will see these events unfold. Too much is going on in these times to look over it as some fluke. It is prophesy come to life. We must all be ready. Please, if you are not a believer, please pray to God. Please tell Him that you know you are a sinner, and that you know He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins. Welcome! From: tvt820 | Created: Jan 26, 2006 I set up this communtiy for anyone who has questions or likes to discuss religion and world events, or needs any spiritual guidance or help. I am not a preacher or spiritual leader, but just a scholar. If I do not have the answer, I have friends who might, and if not I will work to find an answer for any questions. :) That being said, has anyone heard about what is going on with Iran. Do they actually believe that anyone buys that they are obtaining the enriched plutonium from Russia to power their nation, especially since their own president has said that they are going to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. I believe, along with some other Scholars that they are gearing up to attack Israel, and possibly the United States. The whole situation is prophesied in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 of the Holy Bible (please read). The army of the north I believe is Russia, who happens to be helping Iran with their Nuclear Weapons ("energy") program. Russia will lead an attack with many allies (not to be inflammatory but I believe their allies will be an Arab coalition of nations.) on Israel. It is prophesied that God will Protect Israel and defeat the enemy so badly that it will take Israel employing every able bodied person for months to bury the bodies of the enemy that were left behind. I pray that anyone reading this does not wait to get their lives right with God, but if you are skeptical, watch for this event and remember that it was prophesied in the Bible. Remember that this event was prophesied to occur after God brought His people back to the promised land. That, my friends, occurred in, and was the biggest fulfillment of prophecy of, the twentieth century. The Jewish people declared Israel as a state and regained Jerusalem in the twentieth century. Most people look at this and never think twice about it, but I tell you it is a sign of what is to come, and it is coming sooner than you know. Please don't wait until it is too late. If you want to know how to get right with God before it is too late, just pray. Tell God that you know you are a sinner. Tell God that you know He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the Cross for your sins and the sins of the world. To be a living sacrifice that you may be saved and go to Heaven. Invite Jesus into your heart that He may show the love of God to the world through you. Ask God to forgive you of your sins in Jesus' name. If you do this, know that you have been forgiven of your sins and that you are a child of God. Strive to show the world His love.
