Things are changing so rapidly and some of it isn't good. Like the increase in homelessness. Our use of technology, our agencies, the war and the escalation of terrorism, and I was wondering what all of this means in terms of being a Christian. Also, I see on the news how gangs have gotten bigger and meaner, people seem to be so much harder, and we face things in life that we never have before.

The world is simply like that.
A Christian is salt to the world, a lamp to give light to those in darkness. That is the challenge to everyone who professes to be a Christian.

Hello onebeliever: There in nothing new under the sun and Christ said that wars, earthquakes, famimes and divers tragedies are just the beginning of sorrows. As christians we should be about our Father's business as ambassadors of the gospel of Christ. There has always been periods that seem more terrible than others, we are to be ready at all times that nothing takes us unawares. Strive for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints.
Your brother in Christ,
Willhard
