We moved last Jan to an old and very small town.  It is one of those in which everyone is related to everyone.  We love it here but have been noticing some interesting occurances in the "old" part of the house.  That part is about 100 yrs old. 

My daughter was washing dishes at the kitchen sink when something tapped on the window.  The window is rather high from the outside, and has a screen on it so that it would be almost impossible to reach the pane tapped from outside.  This has happened to her several times.

My bedroom is also in the "old" part of the house.   I was awakened from a deep sleep by a very loud RAP-RAP high on my exterior door.  I thought it was probably some kids playing jokes on the new people.   About a month later, I was awakened again.  This time it was a poke-poke on the top of my head. No one was in the room or even awake in the house.  Most recently, just last month, I was once again awakened from sleep by a male voice speaking in a stage whisper in my ear, "Wake up!"  I have considered that I might have been dreaming, but the voice woke me from a dream that had no connection with the voice.    I am waiting.  I hope he will show himself.  Too cool!

WOW MARY!!!  That is soo cool!!!  Thanks for sharing your story with all of us!  Nice to see you back too girl!!!!  I hope he does show himself...Do you know any of the history of this old house?  Sounds like he does not want to hurt anyone, but how fascinating!!!  I am very sensitive these kinds of things too...My dad came to me just before he died...a few hours later, I had gotten the phone call, so I know these things happen.  :)  Please let us all know if he does appear to you.  Will be interesting to see what happens next.  :)

Things are happening again. 

My daughter has a DVR for other purposes, but we thought......

So a couple of nights ago, she got up her courage and went to my room with it.  We can try this now because her son is with his Dad and can't mess with it.  My daughter asked if "you" are the one who has been tapping on the window.  And just after that we can hear a small quiet voice say "yes" or "yep"  or "yeah".  It is very hard to hear.  Later, she and I went into the room around 1 a. m. and began asking questions.  We did this for about 30 mintues. Then my daughter said she was tired so we said goodbye and left.  When we played back the recording we had nothing to show for it until just before Rilla said she was tired, then there is a strong male voice close to the recorder.

It is the same voice that woke me.  It said "Hi".   It is so exciting to have it on tape.  There are no adult males in our house at all. 

I tried again last night, but at 11 p. m.  I asked questions for an hour.  But I got no responses.  I'll try again later. 

Hope everything is going well for everyone.  I hope I will be logging in more often, but you know how that goes.
