Obituary - Clarence H. Shook - Bee Picayune Newspaper, October 1995
Clarence Henry Shook, 90, died at 2:30 am. Thursday, October 5, 1995 in Bee County Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday at the Church of Christ, with Joe Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jack Elder, Doyal Childress, Walter Elling, Leonard Jones, Charles Wright and Jack McKinley. Mr. Shook was born October 20, 1904, in Denison Texas to Maggie Bell Richardson and Garner Shook. He married Annie Ruth Williams on November 17, 1935 in Longview, Texas. He had been employed as a department store manager and a painter. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Shook of Beeville; two daughters, Vera Lee Dixon of Beeville, and Donna M. Chapman, of Corpus Christi; a brother, J.D. Shook of Austin, a sister Vera Mershon of Temple, two granddaughters, Lisa and Paige Chapman of Austin; a nephew, Wayne Shook of Austin, and a niece Rosalie Etheridge of Seattle, Washington.
