About Aileen Muriel Brasko
Aileen grew up in Westfield ,N J during WW2 . There were lots of kids to play with and undeveloped land that we could play on. At age 11 we moved to Linden N J and from there to Ft. Lauderdale, FLorida. We were there about a year when my Dad died and we moved back north. I stayed with friends while Mother went to visit her family in MA. From florida to N J was a culture shock. Living in the south was so different from the north. Especially the school. Florida was way behind in their teaching . I had a very hard time and I hated every minute of it. I hated school period. At the end of the school year Mother and I moved back to Ft. Lauderdale that\'s where I graduated from high school. South Florida at that time was a great place to grow up. After high school Mom and I moved up to MA. I got married in 1958 and had Linda and when she was 18 months we drove to Arkansas and set up for the rest of our lives. Eddie, MaryAnne and SAndra came in the order. It was tough. I have thoughts that will never be expressed.

O my Aileen you be careful that you don\\'t get shot taking your dog a walk there. Goodness me. I still miss our dog Sammy as he would have loved this house and the pool. Sammy (Australian terrier) loved playing in the pool with the kids and he also loved the ducks and geese at the lake in New Zealand. He did bark at the birds if they took the bread Id thrown out though because I think he thought it was for him if it was in our garden........hed sit and guard it LOL. Im not ready for another dog yet...it will take some time after having Sammy for 14 years. His loss left a huge hole in my heart and that of my husbands and children. Yes, please write to Alexandra everyone even just a few words of support and encouragment. She is a wonderful lady and very gifted. We are off to the AUSTRALIAN ZOO again on Saturday to give our love and support to Terrie, Bindy and little Robert on the anniversary of Steve death. It\\\\'s STEVE IRWIN DAY here in Queensland and the family will be in the centre crocoseum at 10am not forgetting his good mate Wes too. Will cover up from the hot sun so don\\\\'t worry! Love xxxxx

Hope you had a great day xx
Hi Aileen sorry I have not been back to you after i asked you to be my friend But have been very busy getting the christmas cards ready for England hope you have a great day on monday
Aileen our double garage is full of Alans fish tanks and equipment. My daughter and I cuss each time we accidentally press the remote door. We have hid his many fish books too LOL Well if he gets everything set up again all his home time will be taken up with them. Reckon he only married me because I\\'m a Pisces :) He and James have been sorting out the fishing rods and they both hang off the pontoon at the bottom of the garden looking at the fish and giant crabs. Ugh wouldn\\'t want to fall in there even though its fresh water. The big fish jump real high Aileen but I reckon they are frisky as Spring is here. In the quiet of the night you will hear big splashes and then theres the bats that are eating our fruit and suddenly they move so I run inside quick. Will post some pictures of us at Buckingham Palace for you when I finish unpacking them. Im a Brit through and through although I still Call NZ home. I have many Royal Family books and saw Diana and Charles marry but we didnt like how the Royal family treated her. We want William to be King not silly old Charles and the women he commited adultery with all those years :( Looking forward to teaching my teenagers about the castles and history of Britain and Wales. Gramps was Welsh.....................

What a wonderful lady you are looking after those fish. xx
We waited 30 years to marry in chapel but the beach picture is one of my favourites. My daughter and daughter in law chose the red and it was gorgeous, such clever girls. Today they can\\'t wait for anything they have to have it all straight away and the marriage often fails. By the way Alan and I are still waiting for our honeymoon lol
I\\'m here sis, have missed you too :) xx
Dear Aileen Bless You! The parcel arrived today. James got so excited when we all arrived home and he saw it in the mail box. We have never seen or heard of this kind of gift before. Well Alan said I\\'d better get over there quick with it. The D day for it to go unconditional is the 8th August but we have heard no good news other than what I have told you. Fingers crossed. We need to move on. Thankyou so much Aileen, you are such a kind and thoughtful lady. We leave Friday 1st back on Sunday xx
Tried the hot bath and pain killers but I still can\\'t walk good, I must by tomorrow :o Alan heard about cheap flights to NZ going at 5am on line yesterday morning so he booked me a ticket for $144 each way. I leave next Friday night as a Japanese family want to rent the place for 2 years? Not sure if its a sign but maybe they will buy it LOL. I pray tha package comes in time. Bless you Aileen xx
I will let you know as soon as the parcel arrives Aileen. I\\'m hoping your address is on the back of it so I can send you a koala :) I\\'ve gone and hurt my back by twisting or lifting something so am crouched over trying to walk LOL Have a great weekend its Sunday here xx
Hi there Aileen! I just wanted ou soonto send a little hello from Japan! I am leaving on the 25th to come back home. While it has been fun, I am looking forward to being able to read things in English again. It is rather frustrating to have others read the menu for you! Wow, they have a lot of rules here too! One color for bathroom slippers, another for toilet slippers... I could go on and on! ...Sandy
Ha ha I must have borrowed your hubby\\'s photo :) Hope the kids spoilt him...... You will have to hold the fort for me Aileen as I\\'m flying back across the ditch to New Zealand to sort out a few things. Yep I have the teenagers with me heavens forbid they stick to me like glue. If I can borrow a computer I will get in touch otherwise I\\'ll see you in the middle of July dear friend xx
Hey Aileen! Hope things are going well for dear! Just thought I would get in touch and see how you\\'re doing! Keep in touch! ... Sandy :)
Strewth Aileen. I reckon its time you moved home. You get some awful weather where you are girl. I\\\\'m sorry to hear things have been rough. Here we are enjoying a tropical winter at 27 C. So warm and sunny each day but I try to be sun smart as skin cancer has taken a lot of lives. I had one mole burnt off my arm a couple of weeks ago but was lucky it hadn\\\\'t spread. I\\\\'m very fair skinned next to my family who all have darker skin and tan more easily than me. Its frightened my daughter, she won\\\\'t sunbathe outside now. Guess its the spray on tan for us from now on :) Hope you have a better week. We are all back at school. Love and hugs xx
Aileen you are a breath of fresh air. What a wonderful ARTIST you are. True Artists never blow their own trumpets but their work speaks volumes. What a talented lady you are, I am so proud to have you as a friend. A Writer, An Artist, A Photographer, A Wife, Mother and Nanny Wow you are such a busy lady. Keep sharing your work with us as we just love it all. xx
Thanks Aileen, we have been traveling around Queensland in tropical heat. Genebase wouldn\\'t let us log in for 5 days. Good to be back on here. We are still trying to find a home in Australia check out the group page - Downunder Connections where I leave updates. Will be happy to have my big computer working again instead of a slow laptop. I lack patience when I\\'m used to a faster internet. Catch up soon sugar xx Anne in Australia
Hello Aileen, I just wanted to visit your page. It looks nice. I notice you like watercolor painting. You will have to show us your paintings sometime! It\\'s neat that you mention George Washington as a hero! I have French ancestors who lived in Westmoreland County, Virginia. George Washington was from there as well. Have a great weekend! Love, Sandy
