What is the difference between an Active and Inactive account?
Solution

There are several statuses for the nodes in your family tree:

1.  Living Active - These are living people in your family tree who have signed into Genebase and are active users of the Genebase system.

2.  Living Inactive - These are living people in your family tree who have not yet joined Genebase and do not have an active account at Genebase.

3.  Deceased Inactive - These are deceased individuals in your family tree.

In addition to your own node, you have permission to edit the nodes of all "Living Inactive" and "Deceased" individuals in your family tree.  However, once someone in your tree joins, his/her node status will now be "Living Active" and you cannot edit the node of a Living Active individual that that family member.  Once your family member is an active user, he/she will need to login to his/her own account to make make changes to his/her own profile.  If any of your living "active" family members are not computer saavy and need your assistance to edit or customize their account, they can choose to give you their login information so that you can login on their behalf to make the necessary changes.  Please note that Genebase has no control over individual nodes and this is something that you will need to arrange directly with your own family members.
